Bratislava Digital Agenda Assembly 2016

During his opening address for the 2016 Digital Agenda in Bratislava Andrus Ansip, the Vice-President of the European Commission, spoke at length about the need for freedom of data flows across EU Member States. 

The European Commission, Directorate General CONNECT, engaged Tech4i2, Spark Legal and time.lex to undertake a two studies to examine cross-border data flow and the barriers and benefits of cloud computing.  The studies are examining the extent of regulatory constraints and the costs and barriers for data flow.

The two studies will provide recommendations for initiatives that Commissioner Ansip announced will be launched later in 2016.
